Imagine this…you finally met your date who matched your eyes. You have been talking for a few days and both of you really get along with each other. You have a similar sense of humor and basic core values. What now? Have you thought about putting in some work for your date together, but don’t know where exactly to start? As your date planner, Ourdate can help you brainstorm your dating plans and make sure everything works out just the way you have wanted.
Check the weather
First and foremost, the weather is key for what kind of date activities are appropriate for the day. Dancing in the rain sounds romantic but it might not be the most comfortable event for one of your first dates and might leave your date feeling confused throughout the date. If the weather is close to perfect, nature-focused dates such as a stroll through a botanical garden or a picnic by the beach might match both you and your partner’s desires. If the weather is not so sunny, an adventurous afternoon in the arcade or a relaxing dinner date at the theater can be less hectic.

Go from you and your date’s interests
What drew you and your date together as people, maybe both of you are yogis, gamers, dog-lovers, hikers, trivia buffs, or sport-lovers? Even if you only know a thing or two about your date, it can be enough to turn an average date into a splendid one because you are sure the date matches both of your interests.
Ourdate tries to match you with people who are interested in similar activities and dating plans, so that you and your date have more common interests and topics. Check out who you might be interested in on our mobile app or website!
Plan out the itinerary
The itinerary doesn’t have to be millisecond by millisecond but having a general gist of what you will be doing for your date can be extremely helpful. Having some last-minute checking for the restaurants, museums, or amusement park hours you are going to for the day can go a long way to make the date above and beyond safe and sound. Setting a rough hour schedule for how much time should be spent at each dating location (if it is a full day, complicated dating schedule) can also make sure the date finishes at an appropriate time that will not affect work or other activities for the next day.
Figure out the logistics
Dating sounds like a lighthearted event but it does include some logistical aspects. Having a general gist of how much time to spend on the date and what time to get home are perhaps the least fun aspects of the date but getting the little boring details figured out can make the date go smoothly and less effortful. Making sure that your favorite restaurant is open for the date or if your favorite location is actually hosting that special event they have mentioned can help you boost your credibility with your date and improve your future date planning skills.
